It was indeed a bad day for the men of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) as Vigilante groups attacked one of them at Funaab Gate.
The Victim Kaka by name was shot on the leg. When our correspondent contacted Kala he said: I was called by Folarin to come and help him do some furniture works in a Hostel (AZEGBE)he work as their agent. On our way going, we met SARS on the road right in front of of Zenith Bank they ask us where we are going, Folarin told them that we are going to Azegbe hostel. Still not satisfied with the answer, they ask Folarin what is in the bag he's carrying he told them money and it belongs to the Landlord of Azegbe hostel. He further explain that he works as An agent to the hostel and some students just pay for accommodation that's why he have the money on him. He showed the SARS the receipt as evidence but the SARS claim he's a Yahoo Yahoo Boy. SARS try to arrest Folarin but he resist that's how Kaka came in. Kaka was explaining to the Police that he's going to Azegbe hostel with Folarin to make some repairs but the Police asked him to stay out of the matter. The Police shot in the air to scare away on lookers but a stray bullet hit Kaka's leg. Kaka being an Indigene of the community called for help before the police run away. Indigenes descended on the policemen. That was how the vigilante came in to the rescue of the policemen. The matter have been resolved since yesterday. FOLARIN is not a Yahoo Yahoo Boy as claimed by the Police. He's a student of Funaab and also A Hostel Agent.
